Timestamps

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 12, 2026

Timestamps is a local-first iOS app for turning event text, screenshots, and shared items into Calendar drafts.

Data Collection

Timestamps does not collect, sell, or share personal data.

Event Text and Screenshots

Text entered into the app, recognized from screenshots, or imported through the share sheet is processed on device. The app does not send event text or screenshots to a backend server.

Pending share-sheet imports may be stored temporarily in the app's local App Group container so they can be reviewed in the main app. They are removed when reviewed, replaced, or cleared.

Calendar Access

Timestamps requests Calendar write access only when saving a reviewed event. Calendar entries are created only after user confirmation.

Location Resolution

When a reviewed event includes a location, Timestamps may ask Apple Maps to resolve the location before saving the Calendar entry. If Apple Maps cannot resolve the location, Timestamps saves the location as plain text.

Apple Intelligence

On eligible devices and OS versions, Timestamps may use Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework to improve event extraction. This processing is handled on device by Apple system frameworks.
